Our Vision

Having minority citizens feel safe brings forward the true healing of our society.

Our Mission

When ICE and law enforcement are presented with a passport, they are forced to acknowledge the citizenship of the person they are interacting with—a citizen protected by the constitution.

Minority citizens are living in fear of being arrested, detained, and/or deported by ICE. They are citizens, but ICE is not treating minority citizens as such. Instead, minority citizens are being treated as foreigners in their own country.

When people look at a passport, they think traveling. They are not thinking, this is the protection of my civil rights as a citizen. A passport communicates status silently, but powerfully. A passport demands official acknowledgement of citizenship. By presenting a passport to ICE and law enforcement, minority citizens assert their citizenship without having to say a word.

A passport safeguards the right to vote. A passport gives a voice. A passport is a symbol of empowerment and a symbol of belonging to this country.

Our Values

We are knowledgeable of the past, and we use creative thinking to take a stand—passport in hand—looking into a bright future.

Project Passport is inclusive and diverse. Respectful of others, their culture, ethnicity, race, and their history. We are kind, caring, and true. We are welcoming, open to all, because the sense of belonging is the corner stone of a society.
